About Moderna

A biotechnology company, Moderna is known for its work in messenger RNA (mRNA) therapeutics. mRNA is a molecule that carries the genetic instructions of a gene from the DNA in the nucleus of a cell to the ribosomes, which synthesize proteins. The potential therapeutic applications of mRNA are vast, and Moderna is at the forefront of this emerging field.

Founded in 2009, Moderna is headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The company has a rich pipeline of mRNA therapeutics in development for a variety of serious diseases, including cancer, heart disease, and viral infections.
