Number of Hedge Fund Holders — 46
Number of Billionaire Holders — 18

Travere Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: TVTX) offers exposure to rare-disease biotechnology through an established commercial product and an expanding development portfolio.

FILSPARI generated $141.1 million in U.S. net product sales during the second quarter of 2026, increasing 96% from a year earlier. First-half sales reached $246.2 million, up 93%. Growth reflected continued adoption in IgA nephropathy and the early contribution from its focal segmental glomerulosclerosis launch.

The company received 2,012 new patient start forms during the quarter. These provide a useful view of prescribing activity, although they should not be treated as interchangeable with completed treatments or recognized revenue.

“With an exceptional second quarter, Travere has entered a new chapter of near- and long-term growth,” CEO Eric Dube said.

Additional evidence arrived on October 23 at ASN Kidney Week. A biomarker analysis from the Phase 3 PROTECT study showed greater reductions in markers associated with kidney inflammation and injury with FILSPARI than with the maximum labeled dose of irbesartan.

The findings add biological context to the treatment’s clinical profile. They also support management’s effort to position the medicine as a foundational kidney-disease therapy, although exploratory biomarkers should be interpreted alongside established clinical outcomes.

The pipeline provides further opportunities. The second-quarter update maintained expectations for a second-half 2027 readout from the Phase 3 HARMONY study of pegtibatinase and highlighted the addition of civorebrutinib for immune-mediated rare kidney diseases.

The investment question is increasingly about operating leverage: whether product-sales growth can outpace the spending required to support commercialization and pipeline development. That is a more measurable proposition than relying entirely on a future drug approval.

Ranking rationale: Travere Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: TVTX) ranks eighth with 18 billionaire holders. Rapid FILSPARI revenue growth supports the commercial thesis, while pipeline spending and the durability of patient demand will influence the path toward sustained profitability.
